EmailCashPro Newsletter - May 2008

Last week you may have encountered one of the following problems.

1) Received email ads that are not in your name and username.
2) Received duplicated ads.
3) View an ad but it says "Fraud detected. Your account is not credited."

If you have experienced one of the above issues, I need to apologize to you.

If you care to find out what's going on, read on. If not, skip to the next section.

Here was what happened last week.......

Firstly, we added a new mailer to increase our mailing capacity due to increasing ads. That's good news but the new mailer, despite being tested again and again, still gave us problems when we first put it into operation. This resulted in the first two problems that I mentioned above.

Secondly, we added a new fraud prevention algorithm into our system to curb some fraud activities. For security reasons, I can't give you too much detail on this. Basically the new system was too sensitive and it flagged some genuine clicks as fraud. We've done some modification to make it less sensitive and so far I think we've gotten the problem under control.
 

These problem almost occupied my whole of last week and we've been doing a lot of 'firefighting'. If there is any inconvenience caused, I sincerely apologize for it.

3) Tips Of The Month - Are We In Bull Or Bear Market Now?

If you have been with us since the early days, you know I'll sometimes share some stock market tips in our newsletter.

I've not been doing it for a long time because the market was rough and I've not been trading for some time.

But now the market seems to be ready for another bull run.

"Why wait till the market is in a bull run?" You may ask.

The answer is simple. Because we're not God! We can't predict which stock is going to go up and which one is going to come down.

But what we do know is if the market is in a bull run, more stocks will go up and this means your chance of picking a winning stock is much higher.

Make sense?

If it makes sense, the next question is "How to pick the right stock during a bull run?"

Disclaimer: I'm not an expert in stock trading and you must understand that you're taking my advice at your own risk!

Having said that, I hope you are still with me.

Choosing the right stock is actually pretty easy and logical.

Your finance teacher may probably ask you to study the Balance Sheet, P&L, PE Ratio blar blar blar to find out if a stock is good. But do you know that 'somebody' have done all these research and they definitely have more info and more expertise than we do?

That 'somebody' are the institutions, i.e the fund managers and institutional investors.

Your job is to 'spy' on them and follow what they buy.

"So how do I spy on them?" I hope you're asking this obvious question in your mind now.

Ok, the answer is again easy and logical. When the institutions decide to invest in a particular stock, they will have to buy in bulk. They don't buy 1 or 2 lots like us. They buy 1000 or 2000 lots.

This means by looking at the daily trading volume and price, you can more or less tell which stocks are going to be the next hero.

In the most ideal case, we're looking at a scenario where there is a sharp increase in volume, accompanied by a substantial increase in the stock price. This is more or less a confirmation that the stock is going to shoot up in price in the near future.

I'm very tempted to give you some of my favorite stocks, but my portfolio are Singapore stocks and may not be useful to our international members.

I suggest you take some time to go through every component stock that makes up your country's stock index and see if you can identify some stocks with the characteristics I've just described.

Even if you are not ready to trade stocks, do it as an exercise. It will help you in the future.
