If you have been reading lots of self help books and attending tons of personal development seminars, you should have realized by now that there is no secret in success.

If you are new in the topic of success philosophy, success may remain as a mystery to you but not to worry because this article will give you the answer.

Napolean Hill, the father of modern success philosophy, summarized the entire mystery of success into one simple sentence, i.e. "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve."

How many times have you heard someone telling you that you need to believe that you can do it. Is it some kind of motivational lie? Or is it a concept that may have worked for some successful people but you 'may' be the exception?

What if you are the unlucky one and "whatever your mind conceive and believe, it simply refuses to achieve?"

The greatest secret of success is that the universe is governed by a set of laws and because of that, success is nothing but a mathematical science.

Truth is, most people don't know what they want. That's the missing key!

Imagine a person going to a restaurant and instead of ordering a dish, he let the waiter decide what dish he should eat. The first dish came. He tasted it and didn't like it. He got disappointed and asked for a change. The waiter brought him another dish and he didn't like it either. He got mad and he swore and cursed, blaming why the universe is so unfair to him.

Does this person know what he want? I know you'll say no. But he will say you are wrong! He knows exactly what he wants. He wants good food!

Can you see where the problem is? Most people have no idea what they want. They will tell you they want to be rich, they want a good life, they want to be successful. How are these wants different from the person wanting good food?

If you can know exactly what you want, half the battle is already won. Yet again, how to find out what you really want?

A good analogy I can think of is getting a designer to design something. If you know nothing about designing, both you and the designer will have a hard time because you can't specify exactly what you want. The poor designer can only keep showing you different versions of what he thinks you may want. The way to get what your want faster is to familiarize yourself with design so that you can better communicate with your designer what is it that you really want.

In life, it's the same. Successful people don't know what they want from day one. They expose themselves to many different things and learn fast. It's all about experience. Once they found something that they really want, something that will really make them happy if it is achieved, they will stop at nothing to achieve it. This is when success becomes inevitable and all the philosophies of success start applying.

Bob Proctor once said, "Tell me what you want, and I'll show you how to get it." He dares to say so because the hardest part is not to show you how to get it; it's to decide what you really want.
